SSG-AERO experience goes back more than 20 years ago
In parallel, with the European Association EUROAVIA, Mr AUBIN organized a symposium on the subject of ground effect, gathering in Toulouse all the major designers in the field:

Following the symposium and the 2003 training in St Petersburg, Mr AUBIN has developed a long term relationship with N. Kornev: Dean of the university of Rostock and expert in hydrodynamics and ground effect machines design.
M. Kornev has designed numerous crafts and developed a tool to quickly simulate and validate aerodynamics and stability of ground effect machines. He also validated all Hanno Fischer designs and also supported many initiatives in Russia on the matter.

Mr Kornev has shared the core of his tool with Mr AUBIN, which enabled the creation of a python module capable of generating geometries and analyzing them. This tool can perform aerodynamics computations and determine the following points:
- aerodynamic coefficients
- stability and balance analysis
- computation of the flight envelope for a range of CoG and Engine positions.
This tool has been validated on numerous designs, and works with multiple airfoils / wings.
Here under is presented one of them which showed excellent stability: |
CoursesSince 2015, Mr AUBIN gives every year a 4 hours course on ground effect at ISAE-SUPAERO.
It includes all the theoretical aspects on aerodynamics and stability, plus some extra analysis on the economical potential of ground effect crafts and their operational constraints. Consultancy & DesignMr AUBIN has supported the design of a Lippisch type leisure craft which has demonstrated excellent longitudinal stability. More information cannot be disclosed at the moment.
Today the whole SSG team works on 2 serious projects which should be made public in 2022 |
